These terms govern your use of Logistikon and of Socrates, its automated assistant, including its WhatsApp, telephone, and SMS channels. By using it you agree to them. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference.
Logistikon is an independent software project run by one person. It is offered free of charge, for evaluation and development, to a small number of invited people. It is not a commercial product, nothing is sold, and no fee is charged.
Socrates is an AI assistant that answers questions about the records in the project’s application, and writes and runs code in a sandbox to do so. It has read-only access to that data and cannot change your records.
Socrates is an automated system, not a person, and it discloses that at the start of every call. It can be wrong. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or employment decisions.
You must be at least 16 and have been invited to use the project. You are responsible for activity under your account. Signing in uses a one-time passcode sent to the mobile number on file — there is no password, and Socrates will never ask you for one. Tell me immediately if you lose control of that number or suspect unauthorized access.
STOP to any message at any time. You will get one confirmation and then
nothing further. To resume, reply START. Note that opting out of SMS may prevent
you from signing in, because the passcode is delivered by text; if that happens, email the
address below.HELP to any message, or email
hayden.lebaron@logistikon.ai.Calls with Socrates are not recorded. Recording is switched off. You are told at the start of every call that you are speaking with an AI assistant. If recording is ever enabled, this page will say so and the call will disclose it before anything is captured.
Before Socrates discusses any information about you, it verifies your identity by sending a one-time passcode to the mobile number on file, which you key in on your phone’s keypad rather than speaking aloud. If there is no SMS-capable number on file for you, Socrates refers you to a human rather than proceeding. Passcodes are redacted from logs and transcripts.
Do not use the project to access data you are not authorized to see, attempt to bypass identity verification or data isolation, probe or disrupt its infrastructure, reverse-engineer it, or send unlawful, harassing, or abusive content. Do not attempt to manipulate Socrates into disclosing another person’s information.
The application currently holds only synthetic test data created for development. It describes no real person. Any records you contribute remain yours, and will be deleted on request.
The project’s software and content belong to its author and its licensors. You get a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use it for its intended purpose while invited.
This is a development project. Features may change, break, or be withdrawn at any time, and availability is not guaranteed. These terms may be updated by posting a revised version at this URL and updating the date above; continued use after that is acceptance.
The project is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. There is no warranty that Socrates’ answers are accurate, complete, or current.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the project and its author are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising out of your use of it. Because the project is provided free of charge, total aggregate liability is limited to one hundred United States dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
Access may be withdrawn at any time, for any reason, including a breach of these terms. You may stop using the project at any time, and can have your account and records deleted by emailing the address below.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Utah have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and the project each consent to venue there.
