Logistikon is an independent software project, not a company. It is run by one person. This policy explains what information the project collects when you interact with it or with its assistant, Socrates, what is done with that information, and what you can ask for. It covers this website and Socrates’ WhatsApp, telephone, and SMS channels.

1. Information collected

Account information — your name, email address, and mobile phone number, which you provide when an account is created for you.
Authentication data — one-time passcodes sent to your mobile number, and records of successful and failed verification attempts. No passwords are used, and you will never be asked to speak one.
Communications — the content of messages you exchange with Socrates over WhatsApp or SMS, and short-lived operational logs of telephone calls. Telephone calls are not recorded.
Records you ask about — the application data Socrates answers questions from. Today this consists entirely of synthetic test data created for development; it describes no real person.
Technical data — IP address, device or browser type, and log timestamps.

2. How it is used

To verify that you are the person entitled to a record, before disclosing anything.
To answer the questions you ask.
To operate, secure, debug, and improve the project.
To comply with legal obligations.

Your personal information is not sold. It is not used for advertising, is not used to train any third party’s models, and no automated decisions are made about you.

3. Mobile information and SMS

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, other than the messaging provider strictly necessary to deliver a message to you.

Text messages from Socrates are transactional: identity-verification passcodes you asked for, and replies to questions you sent. No marketing or promotional text messages are sent. Message frequency varies with your own use of the assistant. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The full messaging terms are in the Terms & Conditions, and the program is described in plain language on the homepage.

4. When information is shared

Service providers. Vendors that process data only as instructed and under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting, identity, the assistant runtime), MongoDB Atlas (database), and Twilio (telephony and messaging).
Legal and safety. Where required by law, or to investigate fraud or protect the rights and safety of any person.

Information is not shared with anyone else. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Socrates is never given access to a record on the strength of your phone number alone — access is carried by a token minted only after you verify a one-time passcode, and on a call that code is keyed in on the keypad rather than spoken, so it cannot end up in an audio recording. Passcodes are redacted from logs and transcripts. No system is perfectly secure and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

6. How long it is kept

Telephone call recordings — none are made. Recording is switched off.
Operational and message logs — 7 days, then deleted automatically.
The assistant’s memory of your conversations — 30 days, then it expires automatically.
Account records — for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as applicable law requires.

7. Your choices and rights

Stop text messages — reply STOP to any message.
Access, correct, or delete — email the address below and it will be done.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be treated differently for exercising one. Personal information is not sold, and is not shared for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Children

This project is not intended for, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 16.

9. Changes

Any revised policy will be posted at this URL with the date above updated.
