What this is
Logistikon is a personal software project — one person, working in the open, not a company with customers. There is nothing here to buy and no service being sold. This page exists so that anyone who receives a message from the project, or who reviews it, can see plainly who is behind it and what it does.
Socrates
Socrates is the assistant the project is building. You reach it the way you'd reach a person — on WhatsApp, or by calling it on the phone — and it answers questions about the data you have given it. Along the way it writes and runs code in a sandbox to work things out.
The part that gets the most attention is identity. Socrates will not tell you anything about a record until it has established that you are the person entitled to see it: it sends a one-time passcode to the mobile number already on file for your account, and on a phone call you key that code in on the keypad rather than saying it aloud, so it never lands in a recording. Your phone number is never treated as proof of who you are. Socrates will never ask you for a password.
It runs on AWS Bedrock AgentCore, with Amazon Cognito for identity and Twilio for voice and messaging.
Text messaging
Everything the project's text-message program does is described here. Read this before registering a mobile number with the project.

- Who receives messages
- Only a person who has registered their own mobile number with the project and asked Socrates for something. In practice that is currently the project's author and no one else. There is no marketing list, and no list to join.
- What the messages are
- Two kinds, both of which you set in motion yourself:
- a one-time passcode, sent because you just asked to sign in or to verify yourself; and
- a reply to a message or a request you sent Socrates.
- How you give consent
- By entering your own mobile number into the project's application, and then either requesting a passcode or messaging Socrates. Consent is never solicited by text message, and consent to receive texts is not a condition of anything.
- Message frequency
- Varies with your own use of the assistant. Socrates messages you in response to your action, so if you don't use it, it doesn't text you.
- Cost
- Message and data rates may apply.

- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone beyond the messaging provider strictly required to deliver the message.
